In 2015, Sergio García, together with Eric Halverson, founded Qualitas Equity Funds, the management company that replaced Qualitas Equity Partners.

Sergio joined Qualitas Equity Partners in 2006, focusing on buyouts in Spain. He was actively involved in the acquisition of Grupo Garnica and BRRA and served as member of the Board of Directors in Bellsola, BRRA and Grupo Garnica.

Before joining Qualitas Equity Partners, Sergio served as Head of Corporate Planning at Uralita Group since 2002, where he participated in the restructuring of the group. At Uralita, he worked in the development of different strategic plans and M&A transactions for a total consideration of approximately €350 million. Prior to that, he worked for six years in consulting at McKinsey & Co. as part of the Corporate Finance and Strategy practice in Spain, Europe and LATAM. Sergio started his career as an auditor in Arthur Andersen in Madrid and worked in Investment Banking in Goldman Sachs in London.

Sergio García holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.

In 2015, Eric Halverson, together with Sergio García, founded Qualitas Equity Funds, the management company that replaced Qualitas Equity Partners.

Previously, in 2003, Eric Halverson founded Qualitas Equity Partners with Iñigo Olaguíbel. Eric has led the direct investments of Azuvi, BRRA, Forte and Grupo Garnica and served as member of the Board of Directors in Garnica, a highly successful QEP Private Equity portfolio company.

Before founding Qualitas Equity Partners, Eric worked at UBS Capital as Investment Director, where he led investments worth over €400 million in value, and at the Corporate Finance department of UBS Warburg, advising companies on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. Eric began his career at McKinsey & Co. as an Associate providing management consulting services to large companies in Spain and Scandinavia.

Eric Halverson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Cornell University, and Masters’ Degrees from Cambridge University and Harvard University.

Javier joined Qualitas Equity Funds in 2019 as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer. Before his incorporation, Javier founded PlanetUs, a technology startup that he managed for 3 years until its sale in the year before joining Qualitas Funds.

Previously, Javier worked for more than ten years at Altamar Private Equity, where he held different management positions in the areas of Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, and Operations & Technology.

Before that, Javier spent more than five years in Ireland and the United Kingdom working in high responsibility positions at Citibank and Merrill Lynch.

Javier holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He also obtained the CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) certification in Madrid in 2002, the title of Specialist in Mutual Funds in Dublin in 2003 and the Investment Management Certificate (approved by the FSA) in London in 2004.

Emma joined the Qualitas Funds team in 2017 and currently works as Investor Relations Director, where she is responsible for managing relationships with current and potential investors, as well as intermediaries. Previously, Emma worked at Garnica Playwood in the commercial department and at Q-Growth (now Tresmares Capital) as part of the Investment Team.

Emma has a Degree in International Trade at the University of León and the Institut Supérieur du Commerce (ISC Paris).

Lucía joined the Qualitas Funds team in 2017 She is currently responsible for the financial management of Qualitas Funds and overseeing the financial, legal, operations and compliance areas. Previously she was responsible for the areas of investor relations, financial control, administration, and compliance.

Before joining Qualitas Funds, Lucía held senior positions at Main First Bank and N+1 (now Alantra). Lucía has more than 17 years of experience in corporate management and administration, financial control, and investor reporting.

Lucía holds a Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Basque Country, a Master’s degree in Portfolio Management from the BME Institute, and has taken several financial training courses from Wharton University and Columbia.

Bernardo joined Qualitas Equity Funds in 2020 as Investment Director and is currently responsible, together with the partners, for the analysis, valuation and selection process of funds and co-investments.

Prior to joining Qualitas Funds, Bernardo spent more than seven years in strategic consulting at Bain & Company and Accenture Strategy in the London, Iberia and São Paulo offices. Bernardo led the development of strategic plans for leading companies in the consumer goods, industrial and financial sectors. In addition, he was part of the Private Equity team at Bain & Company, accumulating experience in various commercial due diligences and working on the development of business plans for the portfolio companies of some of the leading European private equity funds. His experience in private equity was further developed at Bridgepoint, where he was an Associate in the Investment team.

Bernardo holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the London Business School and a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Porto.

Víctor joined Qualitas Equity Funds in 2019 as Investment Director and is focused on the evaluation of investment opportunities in Private Equity funds and co-investments.

Previously, Víctor has been dedicated for seven years to strategic consulting at BCG, Strategy&, and PwC UK. Throughout his career, based in Madrid and London, Víctor has developed extensive experience focused on M&A transactions and strategy. Among the industries in which he accumulates experience are healthcare and pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, infrastructure and energy; with commercial due diligence, business plan reviews, and internationalization plans as his main areas of specialization.

Víctor has a degree in Civil Engineering, Canals and Ports from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Additionally, he obtained the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) certification in 2021.

Ignacio joined the Qualitas Funds team in June 2020. He is currently an analyst in the Portfolio Management department and his work focuses on the analysis and management of existing asset portfolios.

Previously, Ignacio worked in strategic consulting, having participated in numerous projects with companies from different sectors and geographies.

Ignacio holds a Double Degree in Business Administration and Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and also completed an exchange at Università degli Studi Roma Tre in 2019.

Javier joined Qualitas Funds in 2020 as an intern and in 2021 as an analyst in the Investments team. He is currently responsible for the analysis, valuation and selection process of funds and co-investments.
Before joining Qualitas Funds, Javier He did internships in private banking.

Before joining Qualitas Funds, Javier completed an internship in private banking. Javier holds a Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, having completed an academic year at the University of California and another at the University of Warwick.

Jaime joined Qualitas Equity Funds in 2020 as an Analyst, having completed
an eighteen-month internship while completing his studies. Currently, Jaime is responsible for the Portfolio Management area, where he coordinates the team in charge of controlling and managing the underlying asset portfolio.

During his internship in Qualitas Funds, Jaime participated in a rotation program that allowed him to work in the main areas of the firm. He contributed to the development of portfolio models, valuation, and investment analysis.

Jaime is an Industrial Engineer by ICAI, where he also completed his Master’s Degree. In addition, he has been actively involved in numerous entrepreneurial and social projects.

Beatriz joined the Qualitas Funds team in 2017 and since June 2020 she oversees investor onboarding and provides support in administrative tasks.

Beatriz has experience as an administrative assistant, receptionist, hostess, and event assistant. Before joining the Qualitas Funds team she worked for Mapfre in the policy management department and later in the Health Department processing medical appointments.

In 2014 she moved to the UK, where she worked as a hostess in a theater in London and as an events assistant in an art gallery in Bournemouth.

Beatriz studied voice-over, narration, acting, and protocol at the International School of Audiovisual Media in Madrid and obtained the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, at Morley College, UK.

José Ramón joined Qualitas Equity Funds in 2019 as part of the Legal Team. Since then, he has played a key role in the legal and regulatory compliance area of the management company and associated investment vehicles, including the review and coordination of the regulatory, commercial, and tax aspects of investments.

His previous experience includes a career as a lawyer specialized in Corporate and Commercial Law, which allowed him to acquire a deep knowledge in the field.

José Ramón has a Law Degree from the University of Navarra and is a member of the Lawyer’s Bar Association of Castellón. He further developed his academic training obtaining a diploma in Economic Law from the University of Navarra in collaboration with the IESE Business School.

Raluca joined the Qualitas Funds team in 2018. Raluca supports the firm’s three partners and the Investor Relations, Finance, Legal and Portfolio Management teams.

Previously, Raluca worked as an Executive Assistant & Office Manager in several international companies.

She completed a Higher Vocational Training Degree in Management Assistance at IES Clara del Rey, Madrid and a Degree in French Philology at the University of Bucharest.

João joined Qualitas Equity Funds in 2020 as an Investment Associate and is currently focused on leading the NAV financing investment team. He is responsible for originating and evaluating investment opportunities in this space.

Previously, João worked at Credit Suisse and then more than two years in strategy consulting at Bain & Company in the Middle East and Iberia offices. Throughout his career, João has actively participated in the elaboration of strategic plans, the evaluation of M&A strategies and was part of the private equity team, accumulating experience in commercial due diligence and portfolio management with some of the largest European private equity funds.

João holds a Master’s in Finance from the Ramón Llull University (ESADE Business School) in Barcelona, with a Double Degree in Strategy and International Management from the Universität St. Gallen. Gallen.

Helena joined Qualitas Funds in 2020 as an intern and in 2021 as an analyst in the Investment Team. She is currently responsible for the analysis, valuation, and selection process of funds and co-investments.

Before joining Qualitas Funds, Helena completed an internship in the legal sector.

Helena holds a double degree in Law and Business Analytics (E3-Analytics) from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), having completed a course at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Raffaella joined Qualitas Funds in 2023 as an Associate in the Investor Relations department. Prior to joining Qualitas Funds, Raffaella worked in the Investor Relations department at Incus Capital.

Previously, Raffaella worked for four years as an analyst in M&A advisory at PwC Spain, where she participated in a rotation program and gained experience in financial analysis, knowledge of different sectors, project management, and preparation of marketing materials. During her time at PwC, Raffaella obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Raffaella has a Degree in Economics from the University of Navarra and completed two exchanges at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy. Raffaella also participated in a program designed for undergraduate students at the IESE Business School in Madrid.

Pablo joined Qualitas Funds in 2021 as an intern and in 2022 as an analyst in the investment team and is currently responsible for the origination, analysis, valuation and investment process in private equity funds as well as co-investments and secondaries.

In 2023, Pablo carried out a stay at a Qualitas Funds portfolio manager active in the northern European markets. Before joining Qualitas Funds, Pablo completed an internship at a search fund.

Pablo holds a Double Degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI and ICADE) and a Master in Industrial Engineering from the same university.

David joined the Qualitas Funds team in 2021. He is currently responsible for the supervision of the technology infrastructure and ensuring cybersecurity. In addition, he leads the IT strategy, coordinates projects, manages the IT Development team and pursues technological innovation to support the firm’s objectives.

Before joining Qualitas Funds, David worked at SoftwareONE IngerGrupo as a solutions architect leading teams focused on software development for blue-chip companies in the banking, services, and e-commerce sectors in Colombia.

David is a Systems Engineer from ITM (Metropolitan Technological Institute) in the city of Medellín, Colombia and is MCS (Microsoft Certified Professional) since 2017.

Matías joined the Qualitas Funds team in 2022. For more than 10 years, Matías worked in several Argentinian banking entities including Banco Macro and Banco Hipotecario, where he led the Workplace Management team. After his experience in the banking sector, he decided to embark on a new path. He was trained as a Fullstack Web Developer at DePC Suite and Web Developer at NextU.

After gaining experience in web development, he worked for 2 years at Globant Argentina as a front-end developer, working alongside different international clients.

Matías is an Architect by the University of Buenos Aires, which brings a valuable perspective to his role in the Qualitas Funds team.

Víctor joined Qualitas Funds in 2023 as a full-stack developer with more than eight years of experience in web development. His career started in 2015, and since then he has been able to contribute to significant projects in renowned companies such as Havas Media and Idealista.

His work focuses on creating robust and scalable web applications. He looks for high-quality, efficiency, and excellence in programming, and strives to apply these principles in every line of code.

Currently, he is part of the innovation and technology team at Qualitas Funds, where he has the opportunity to put his experience and expertise to work to drive innovative and efficient solutions that meet the needs of Qualitas Funds’ stakeholders.

Cristina joined the Legal Team in 2021. Previously, she performed legal and compliance functions at Ithaka, Sofima10 Estudio Jurídico y Fiscal, and Bankinter.

She holds a Degree in Political Science and Administration, specializing in Public Administration, and a Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Universidad Oberta de Cataluña and the Lawyer Title of the Ministry of Justice.

Jerónimo joined Qualitas Equity Funds in 2022 as an analyst in the Portfolio Management department after completing a six-month internship. His work is focused on the monitoring and management of the underlying portfolios.

Previously, Jerónimo was an intern for one year at Akerton Partners in the M&A area and six months at Deutsche Bank CIB.
Jerónimo holds a Business Administration Degree from ESIC University.

Javier joined Qualitas Funds in 2024 as an Analyst in the investment team. Currently, he is responsible for the analysis, valuation, and selection process of private equity funds, co-investment opportunities, and NAV loans.

Before joining Qualitas Funds, Javier worked as a Senior Consultant at Oliver Wyman in London. Additionally, he completed internships at Boston Consulting Group in Madrid, DUBAG group in Munich, and at Qualitas Funds.

Javier holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Imperial College London and has successfully completed Level I of the CFA qualification.

Íñigo joined Qualitas Funds in 2024 as part of the Financial Department. Prior to joining, he developed his career at PwC in financial auditing and at Alvarez & Marsal in the Operational and Financial Restructuring division, gaining solid experience in financial analysis, treasury management, and business transformation processes.

His expertise includes the design and implementation of operational improvement plans, preparation and review of business plans, cost structure optimization, liquidity management in distress situations, and negotiation of debt refinancing processes.

Íñigo holds a Doble Degree in Law and Business Administration from University of Navarra, including an exchange program at Universidad Panamericana, México. He also completed a Master’s degree in Auditing and Accounting at CUNEF.

Paula joined Qualitas Funds in 2024. She is currently focused on managing treasury operations for various vehicles alongside the finance team, monitoring liquidity, and handling payment processes.

Before joining the firm, Paula worked as a financial consultant in the BPO department’s accounting area at BDO, collaborating with various clients, including investment funds and financial institutions.

Paula holds a degree in Economics from the University of Seville and has completed a Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Advisory.

Elvira joined Qualitas funds in mid-2023 as Executive Assistant for the investment team. Prior to joining she worked as Case Team Assistant at BCG and Office Manager at the Portofino Club of Investors.

Elvira holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Design from the Universidad Argentina de Empresa (UADE) Buenos Aires and a Master’s Degree in Design from LCI Barcelona.

Mariano joined Qualitas Funds in 2024 as Legal Counsel. Prior to joining, Mariano worked for four years in Corporate Law at Cuatrecasas. He also completed an internship at the legal services department of BBVA.

Throughout his career, Mariano has provided expert counsel to both national and international financial institutions in matters related to corporate and regulatory law. He possesses extensive experience in the constitutions of GPs (SGIIC and SGEIC) and investment vehicles (ECR, EICC, FCRE, FESE, FILPE). In addition, he has been involved in several M&A transactions mainly focused on the financial sector.

Mariano holds a Doble Degree in Law and Business Management from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and completed an exchange programme at Kingston University in London. He also completed the Master’s Degree in Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.

Santiago joined the Investor Relations team as an intern in 2024 and became an analyst in 2025. Before joining, he worked for two years in technology consulting, where he participated in various projects across different sectors and geographies.

Santiago holds a degree in Bilingual Business Administration and Management from CUNEF. During his studies, he completed an internship in the finance department of a company.

Mónica joined Qualitas Funds in 2024 as an Intern and currently works as an Investment Analyst on the investment team, where she is involved in the analysis, valuation and selection process of private equity funds and investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Qualitas Funds, Mónica completed internships as a Strategy Consultant Intern in the Deal Strategy team at KPMG Spain.

Mónica holds a degree in Business Administration and Data Science from CUNEF, and she also completed an exchange program at The Wharton School.

Joaquín joined Qualitas Funds in 2024 as an Intern and currently works as an Analyst within the investment team, where he is responsible for the analysis, valuation and selection process of private equity funds, co-investment opportunities and NAV financing facilities.

Prior to joining Qualitas Funds, Joaquín completed an internship as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Santander Peru.

Joaquín holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from IE University.

Jaime joined Qualitas Funds in 2025 as an Analyst within the investment team, where he supports investment analysis and the development of data-driven initiatives.

Prior to joining Qualitas Funds, Jaime worked as a Developer at FCC Industrial.

Jaime holds a degree in Telecommunication Systems Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Additionally, he completed an exchange program at Lodz University of Technology.

Tamara joined the firm in 2025 as an Executive Assistant, bringing over ten years of experience in executive support roles within international environments.

She holds a degree in Management Assistance from the University of Navarra and a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing. In addition, she is a certified English translator.

Throughout her professional career, Tamara has worked at organizations such as Bain & Company. She later lived in New York for five years, where she worked as a Personal Assistant.
