The session was led by Bernardo Marques dos Santos, Principal, and João Pita Rua, Investment Director, who discussed the key advantages, challenges, and strategies for integrating Private Equity into the investment portfolios of family-owned businesses, highlighting its role in preserving capital and increasing long-term wealth.

The event brought together multiple generations of family businesses’ leaders in Portugal, including partners and members of the AEF. It was held in person at the offices of Telles Advogados in Lisbon and was also attended virtually via Teams.

This was the first of two webinars organized by Qualitas Funds and the Family Business Association. A new date will be announced soon.
